Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie (Bakery) to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and producing high-quality bakery products, ensuring consistency, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting daily bakery operations. The candidate should possess strong technical bakery skills and a commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, viennoiserie, and other bakery products according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure consistent product quality, taste, appearance, and presentation.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of bakery ingredients and supplies.
- Assist in menu development and the creation of new bakery products and seasonal offerings.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and hygiene standards in all bakery work areas.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and HACCP guidelines at all times.
- Operate bakery equipment safely and efficiently.
- Monitor product freshness and minimize wastage through proper production planning.
- Train and guide junior bakery staff, Commis Chefs, and trainees.
- Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health regulations, and quality standards.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Bakery, Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in a bakery, café, hotel, or restaurant environment.
- Strong knowledge of bread making, pastry production, cake decoration, and dessert preparation.
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
