Sous Chef – Western

DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Bengaluru Outer Ring Road is hiring a Sous Chef – Western at its Sarjapur Road hotel in Bengaluru. Lead day-to-day Western kitchen production and support the Executive Chef in maintaining consistent menus, culinary quality and team performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise Western cuisine mise en place, cooking, plating and daily kitchen output.
• Coordinate breakfast, buffet, à la carte and special-event preparations with senior culinary colleagues.
• Train and guide section chefs on recipes, portions, presentation and service timing.
• Monitor temperature records, hygiene, allergen controls and safe storage procedures.
• Check ordering requirements, ingredient quality, yield and effective stock utilisation.
• Resolve service issues promptly while coordinating with food and beverage teams.

Skills and Experience

• Substantial experience preparing Western cuisine in a professional hotel or restaurant kitchen.
• Comfort supervising culinary sections and supporting menu and production planning.
• Strong knowledge of kitchen hygiene, safe handling and cost control.
• Ability to coach colleagues, communicate clearly and sustain quality under pressure.
