Overview

Deccan Platters is hiring a Tandoori, Indian Chinese cook, Kitchen helpers, House keeping and waiters to support daily operations, maintain role-specific standards, and contribute to smooth shift execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and present Chinese cuisine dishes, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation standards.
• Maintain the cleanliness, hygiene, and operational readiness of the Chinese section, including prep tables, utensils, and ingredients.
• Assist the Chinese Chef with various tasks such as vegetable cutting, sauce preparation, noodle and rice cooking, plating support, and other daily Chinese kitchen service requirements.
• Prepare and present food items as a Kitchen Helper, adhering to recipes, portion standards, taste, and presentation expectations.
• Ensure proper mise en place, ingredient storage, section cleanliness, and adherence to food safety protocols throughout the shift.
• Coordinate effectively with senior chefs, other kitchen helpers, service teams, and dispatch staff to ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Control food wastage, strictly follow hygiene Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and promptly report any stock or equipment issues to the kitchen supervisor or chef in charge.

Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to accurately follow chef instructions, maintain speed during service, and uphold high hygiene standards.
• Basic knowledge of Chinese kitchen preparation techniques, including cutting, frying, sauces, or wok operation, is preferred.
• Relevant experience as a Kitchen Helper or in a similar hospitality kitchen environment is preferred.
• Solid understanding of food preparation, hygiene practices, portion control, and operations in a busy service environment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, maintain efficiency during peak hours, and precisely follow chef instructions.
• Demonstrated clean working habits, strong teamwork, discipline, and keen attention to consistency.
